Giving Burglars A Difficult Time Finding Your Valuable Items

By Jon J Youngie

I was shaken awake by a clanging sound coming from the kitchen area downstairs. A trespasser was searching through my household, maybe, for some spare change which I might have lying around, or other valuable items. The laptop computer and cell phone were in my room. I sat calmly in the dark, hoping he would go out soon.

What happened was a perfect test for the extra stash safe container I purchased not too long ago. I wished the acquisition was not a magnet to attract thieves into my home.

A diversion safe is available in a lot of forms, generally something found within the house. Its role? To hide valuable items while keeping them in plain sight which bad guys will not typically consider checking.

The Love My Carpet deodorizer can safe was tucked away safely within the cupboard over the sink. This had some money and a pair of ruby earrings. It has got a removable top and bottom and is heavy to feel full. While not truly under the noses of intruders, it won't seize interest since it looks just like ordinary home care products.

I learned about these kinds of covert safes from my mother. She resides inside a modest apartment in the outskirts of Chicago. Besides her TV, he went for jewelry, too, and took a pretty bracelet my mom had since she was 18 years old. Pissed off, mommy got a wall socket diversion safe, which could store both money as well as several rings and necklaces.

My community is quite safe. However when Mrs. Lawrence a few houses away complained she was burglarized, I began to look into ways to give protection to myself as well as my property inexpensively.

A trip downtown led me to a short demonstration about how diversion safes have fooled many thief and left them empty-handed. The soda can safes were common with college kids, the man explained, as soda cans were very usual products in most dorms or apartments of students.

A Dr. Pepper diversion safe can be left lying around packed with cash yet the thief will not even detect this. Certainly, a secret safe will surely frustrate thieves.
