Porcelain dolls are realistic-looking, ornamental or collector's dolls with heads made from porcelain glass. Their bodies, though, tend to be made of fabric, laminated plastic. Certain older dolls have painted-on hair, but the majority have got wigs. There are indeed two sorts of porcelain dolls: China and Bisque. China dolls in general have a glistening, glazed surface texture though bisque porcelain dolls have a matte accomplish. Bisque dolls are very preferred for the reason that they have a more realistic finish. The heads of porcelain dolls are made from molds and then heated in ovens.

Contrary to popular belief, china doll were not crafted from China. They get their label from the kind of glass from which they are produced.
